I grew up watching Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock fight, and last night they fought each other for the 3rd time in their careers ad the fight was very underwhelming . All the hype and build up was for nothing and that is why I'm no a casual MMA fan.
Both of last night's "Main Event" fights were underwhelming and really weren't as excitng for me to watch. I will keep this in mind when I'm watching WWE's Fastlane on WWE Network Sunday Night or ROH's 14th Anniverary show Next Friday Night.
I have all the respect in the world for Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock because of all they have done for MMA throughout the history of the sport. as a former wrestler with 20+ years experience I know the grind of training camp and preparing for battle.
The fight ended after a low blow on Shamrock from Gracie followed by some hammer fists and the referee stopping the fight prematurely in my opinion. After the low blow the fight should have been stopped allowing time for Shamrock to recover and the fight should have been restarted.
Bellator needs to have referees outside the cage to see these things and make it a fair playing field for all fighters, with all that said I in no way shape or form feel that Gracie took a "cheap shot" at Shamrock but it's what happened and millions people watched it happen and Bellator did nothing about, seriously !?!?!
STAY HUMBLE, STAY HUNGRY :)
