ANSWER : Mortis comes back for vengeance .
ANSWER : NO! For God's sake no !! The Sins of Man Trilogy is based in a little thing I like to call reality and the real world. There will be no evil spirits running around hacking people to death, sorry .
ANSWER : While I thank you for your support of WCP and Sins of Man I have to say that this is a page about Wicked Carnival Productions and our films, video series and other projects and I will not be talking about politics here.
Answer : we are using a scene that almost mirrors a deleted scene from a staple in the slasher genre .
(we figure they didn't use it so we will)
ANSWER : Honestly, that's sort of up in the air right now, we could wrap up the Sins of Man trilogy, we could shoot Wicked Carnival (It's a feature film that we also use as our production company name) we could shoot the current project I'm writing . ( I can't say much about it but it's in early development and it's NOT a feature film) there are about 6 scripts in my office that are ready for shooting so as far as our next project it could be anything.
ANSWER : JJ will be a changed girl in this film, you will see a side of her that will shock even hardcore horror fans .
ANSWER : The same thing I was doing before I started making movies working a boring job that I would hate to no end. I decided enough was enough and while I'm not (yet) making a living at making movies I'm gaining a ton of knowledge and someday I might be able to make a living making movies.
ANSWER : Most of the time it's music and what I listen to depends on what I'm writing, If I'm writing horror I listen to alot of Rock and Metal, if I'm working on an action movie I listen to Hip Hop or Rock and if I'm writing a romantic movie aka a "chick flick" I listen to country music .
ANSWER : I like both but I prefer writing, it's more fun then directing for me I enjoy creating the story, the characters the world they live in, the backstories and all the little things that make a person who they are. On the other hand I think it's amazing to watch actors make my script come alive in front of me as the director of the film and forever be on video.
ANSWER : As I have said many times I base my screenplays, stories, characters and movies in the real world so when I think about the world the story takes place in I usually visualize my town or a town much like it. I live in Maine and there are many small town areas that my films could take place in . I will walk around town and look around for unique places where a kill could happen and use it in the script even if we don't shoot the scene in that location that's the location I thought of in my mind when I wrote it into the script . On the other side of that I had written the original script for Sins of Man to take place in and around a high school I had never set foot in the local high school so went I had my meeting with the school board they asked if I had to use the High school and I said no just any school with lockers ( I figured every Middle School / high school uses lockers) they informed me that their High School doesn't use lockers and I was like really? . so I try to use places that I have seen or what I think they look like. We ended up not getting permission to shoot in ANY school in the district and changing the script to a camping trip gone wrong. and I hadn't been to either location prior to shooting, my mind set was you've seen one camping area you've seen them all and if you think that you'd be wrong LOL. lesson learned . Wow that was a long winded answer ... (Sorry)
ANSWER #1 : I decided to "take the plunge" as you said because I knew I had a good story and a good script and if I set my mind to it I knew I could get the film made. I was tired of talking about making a movie, I was driving my wife crazy with my chatter about "finally chasing my dream" so one day I just decided today is the day when I start chasing the dream ! I had written scripts for Halloween III and several action, drams, and romance screenplays before writing Wicked Carnival which I thought would be my first film but ended up being put aside due to the projected budget of $100,000 dollars (alot of expensive locations would've been needed) so I reworked it and started to write Sins of Man and as I have said a million times I wrote Sins of Man and two sequels in less then 30 days and I knew this was the movie I was going to make to launch my dream.
ANSWER #2 : I would give the advice that if you have a dream (any dream) that seems out of reach, it's not out of reach you just need to stretch to get there. start working towards your goal and it will happen, there will be people who will tell you many things to try to derail you before you even get started these are my FIVE favorites and how you should look at each one)
1. "You can't do it" . (How do they know you can't do it when you haven't even started yet ?)
2. "You're not good enough" ( How do they know you're not talented enough to succeed do they have a crystal ball)
3. "Why try something you know you will fail to do" . (How do they know you will fail what makes them so sure, IF you fail at least you tried, right.)
4. "What you are trying to do is IMPOSSIBLE" ! (Anything is impossible if you believe it is YOU decide what's possible not anyone else)
5. "WHEN you fail what will your plan be then" ? (I don't plan on failing so your comment is invalid and if I do fail I will get up and try again until I succeed)
I look at these types of people with these types of thoughts as a case of sour grapes who aren't where they thought they would be at this point in their lives and they don't want anyone to be better then they are no matter what, they hate to see anyone succeed where they have failed.
I made a movie because I refused to quit, my cast and crew refused to quit and through all the hard situations that came up we all came together as a team and made it happen !!
NO ONE BELIEVES IN YOU MORE THEN YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF !! If those around you in your closest circles don't think you can reach your dreams that's on them and in my case I took all that negativity and used it as motivation and when Sins of Man : Rise of Mortis was released on Halloween of 2015 I knew I proved every single one of them wrong and that my friends is one of the greatest feeling, knowing that you defied the odds and made your dream happen .
QUESTION : Is Sins of Man II a test movie to see if making III will happen ? The reason I'm asking is because someone said that if Vengeance doesn't do well with DVD sales you will be "shelfing" Sins of Man III, is there any truth to that ?
ANSWER : Wicked Carnival Productions is a firm believer in 100% Transparency with our fan base with that said I don't know where you heard that because I keep most Sins of Man discussion in house between Chris Fyfe and myself but there is no truth to that rumor at all. I feel that Sins of Man II : Vengeance will knock peoples socks off in terms of what we have planned and how we plan to execute the script in a way that will elevate the franchise to new heights.
There has been discussion about moving Sins of Man III back on our release schedule from Fall 2017 to Fall 2018 so we can release Wicked Carnival or another film on DVD. We are only considering doing this to build to the release of Sins of Man III because it's the final film in the trilogy. We have our release schedule that started with Rise of Mortis in Fall 2015 we have a movie coming out yearly for the next 5 years and possibly have a few smaller scale projects as well. I have movie review videos on the schedule as well so there will be alot more content coming from Wicked Carnival Productions in the coming weeks, months, and years . If you continue hear these types rumors you can always check here on the website and sinsofmanmovie.com and if it's not on one of those sites it's simply not true if you would like a personal response to a rumor please feel free to email me directly and I will tell you if there is any truth to them at all.
STAY HUMBLE, STAY HUNGRY MY FRIENDS :)
