Saturday :
We all arrived somewhat on time to the beautiful home that was built n the 1850's and is a former mortuary such a cool location. We shot there for most of the day / night . great scenes and even with all the juggling with the scheduling for the day we did a great job and produced some cool scenes and action for the movie. (Thank You Valerie for letting us film in your beautiful home :)
Funniest Thing That Happened Saturday :
Saturday on the way home we stopped at Hannaford in Lewiston because Danielle decided to get so Whiskey for the week so I went in with her, we ran into a drunk in the aisle and he proceeded to follow us through the store rambling to us and he gets in line behind us it's alittle after 10 at night at this point, keep in mind I wasn't buying anything I was just there to hang with Danielle and the 18 - 20 year old cashier says to me "Can I see your ID too"
NOTE : keep in mind I'm tired and pissed off about things that happened on set that day.
So I look at this kid and say "Are you fuckin' serious" and he said "Yes I need to see your ID" I handed him my ID I replied "Can you read" ? I then pointed to my right forearm to a tattoo that reads Straight Edge and explained to him what it means "Straight edge means I don't smoke, drink or do drugs" he handed me back my ID and finished ringing up the stuff and the last thing I said to him was "Kid I'm probably old enough to be your father"
I know he was just doing his job but it was the attitude he had when he asked the question combined with my attitude at that time, it's a bad mix . and I figured at that point I wasn't going back to Lewiston Hannaford for a long time if ever so it was wrong place wrong time .
Sunday :
We shot in An amazing office location THANK YOU Caitlynn and Jennifer for allowing us to use the awesome location :) I shot my big scene for the movie this weekend and it was weird and awkward because I have never been to jail let alone in prison orange and shackles . It was acting for sure, I think I delivered my lines the best I could .
All in all we have an awesome weekend of shooting with a fair amount of difficulty but we pulled together and made it through another weekend of filming :)
Funniest Thing That Happened Sunday :
There were two funny things that happened Sunday the first one had to be at lunch at Sams the the majorite of the cast / crew taking up a quarter of the seating of the resturant and we're all razing each other like we do because we've all become close during the shooting process and Caitlynn says "Chris sits just far enough away from us to where he can babysit us but also act like he doesn't know us at the time" it was funny and more then likely true HAHA . I love ya Chris !
And the second funny thing was that the first scene on the schedule after meal break was the prison interview scene I got into my prison orange and Chris was getting my shackles and
cuffs all put in place and had to learn how walk in the shackles which isn't easy, I didn't fall but I felt weird and uncomfortable but at the same time it helped me with acting the part of a hardened criminal so we are getting ready to shoot and I realize that I have to take my afternoon pill (I'm Diabetic) so I get the pill out and it's in my hand but because I'm shackled I can't get my hand to my mouth and can't move my hands enough to open my soda, I'm in rough shape LOL so I look around and we're all just sitting around and say "Anyone with two working hands, I need help" Trevor comes over and opens my soda so there's issue one fixed but how do I get the fuckin' pill into my mouth ?? so finagled the pill into my mouth and took a drink to wash it down so something that any other day would take me a matter of seconds took me minutes because I had to get help and figure out how to get the pill in my mouth .
Special Thank you to Trevor, Danielle and Bridgett for letting me ride with you this weekend and a Extra special Thank you to "B-Dawg" for buying me a soda at Circle K / Irving in Lewiston .
We have a weekend off this weekend because it's my wife's birthday and I get to hang out with my kiddos for the weekend while she goes out for her birthday :)
IN CLOSING :
Even with all the stress of having to change things on the fly and make things work the best we could with what we had to work with, I'm living my dream and all of the struggles and stress are worth it in the end because we will have a finished film out on DVD on Halloween .
STAY HUMBLE, STAY HUNGRY MY FRIENDS :)
