While I don't object to nudity in movies I often think the nudity in a horror movie is out of place or just there for the purpose of seeing a girl naked and I guess it works most of the time but personally I want nudity to serve a purpose for example the way I had my nudity written would have been a girl getting in the shower and washing up or getting out of the shower something that makes sense. Friday The 13th was a huge film for nudity, why would you go skinny dipping in a lake where a bunch of murders happened ? doesn't make sense does it? but a person taking a shower after a long day at work / school makes complete sense, right ?
A good example of well placed nudity that makes sense would be 1983's Psycho II when Mary Loomis (played by Meg Tilly) hopes in the shower and washes up and the briefly show her breasts and butt after she has stepped out of the shower, they showed her washing up through the curtain also which was well done. that was well shot and made sense on many levels, she wanted / needed to get clean from a long days work or the days events and it mirrored Janet Leigh's shower scene from 1960's Psycho .
A bad example would be in Friday The 13th part V : The New Beginning when Tina (Played by Deborah Voorhees) is laying on the sheet after her and her boyfriend finish screwing (while she had the best boobs in the F13 series) why would they go off to screw after they were told to stay off Ethel's land. I know it was the way it was written but maybe they could've done it differently.
Sex is another thing that is almost a requirement in horror movies, this one also makes little sense in a Friday The 13th type setting why would you go off in the woods / a tent / a cabin and fuck if you knew a bunch of people had been killed in the area ?
Again I don't object to sex in movies but there is a time and place for anything and it either needs to happen before the killing starts or after the killer is "dead" for it to make any sense at all.
A Good example of sex in horror would be from 1996's Scream when Billy (Played by Skeet Ulrich) and Sidney (Played by Neve Campbell) have sex, it played into the root of the story and made sense the way they did it with the storyline of the film.
I can't even pin point a bad example of Sex in horror basically because they are too many to choose from. Off the top of my head I would say Jason X when the two kids are too busy kissing to help the blonde with the work on Jason's body and she tells them to come back when they are more focused and they go back to their room to screw. and Stoney (played by Yani Gellman) is killed .
In Closing I would like to say that there is a place for both nudity and sex in horror but I think if you do it often it loses something and maybe it's just me but I think both should make sense to the story and add to the overall film and simply not in there for no reason other then to show tits and ass lol, with that said there will be nudity in Sins of Man II : Vengeance .(barring any rewrites)
STAY TUNED & STAY WICKED !
