I'm a man of many interests. Yes I love pro wrestling, I watch wrestling every single day, I wrestled for 25 years and I loved every minute of it. I was the creative director (booker) of a backyard wrestling company for many of those years (Some would say creative genius) I'm a writer, director and actor most recently and those are things I enjoy doing. I'm focusing on writing and directing right now but acting is still in the mix for sure.
Recently with the health issues I've had diet, exercise and life style changes have become something I'm interested in. I started Tai Chi classes twice a week, I started DDP Yoga three times a week and I'm learning to use Escrima sticks 7 days a week as well as the usual work out stuff, push ups, sit ups etc.
I'm proud to say in 3 weeks I'm down 19.6 pounds from 196 lbs to 176.4 lbs. My A1C went from a 9.0 in February to a 5.4 today ! I'm making positive changes in my life and seeing positive results ! I'm finding it fun to work out, go on my daily walks, do my escrima Stick Training, do the DDP Yoga and Tai Chi classes I'm enjoying it and I'm changing as a person as well.
My attitude and outlook on life is ever changing, I'm less abrasive and more open to things now. I've heard it said that Adversity introduces a man to himself and I agree when you are faces with a situation that you have to face head on you really get to know who you are as a person and make changes according to the goals you set for yourself.
Getting back to my many interests anyone that knows me knows that I've got a unique fashion sense and basically wear what I want and don't care about trends. I wear a cadet hat with Punisher Buttons on it, I wear a set of Dog tags One with my personal info on it and the other that has my Diabetic/Emergency contact info on it and a Punisher dog tag style pendant . sure I wear jeans and t-shirts but they are t-shirts I like not the stylish trendy shirts that are currently in style. I may wear an MMA Elite shirt one day, a WWE t-shirt the next and a cat t-shirt the day after that, I don't really care about fashion or "Looking cool" as much as I care about being comfortable in my own skin.
As many people know I'm a huge fan of Marvel and DC Comic movies and TV Shows (Not a fan of comic books) I watch all the shows and movies (Usually from Netflix or Redbox) I have my opinions of them and don't really listen to others opinions because there are many folks that take that shit way to seriously. I'm a casual fan and honestly couldn't tell you if they are following a comic book story line or just writing whatever they want and I don't care either way I care about being entertained and really that's all anyone should expect from any form of movie, TV show, comic book or novel does it entertain you?
In closing I know this blog as been allover the map with topics but what I'm trying to say if I'm saying anything at all is don't be so quick to put someone in a box, we all have many interests and find different ways to express ourselves and that's okay. I love many different things and I'm a happy, healthy person who at 38 years old is finally discovering myself ....
